Martin Schmidt is Managing Director at Comfield and advises companies and public-sector clients in all issues relating to compliance. His main area of expertise includes both the set up and improvement of compliance-management systems and internal company investigation of compliance cases.

The focus of his legal practice is antitrust law and data protection law. Martin works as an external data protection officer and compliance ombudsman for companies.

One of his particular strengths is understanding issues from the company’s perspective. Prior to founding Comfield Legal, he worked as in-house counsel in the legal department of an international mobility and logistics corporation. Before that, he was an attorney at a major commercial law firm.

He is a member of the German Antitrust Lawyers Association and an advisory board member of “Compliance Business”.
